TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 1

My teaching practice was given in the school G H. S Vazhamuttam. It is a beautiful school located in vazhamuttom near NH 66 bypass. In my first week in the school I got to know about the school atmosphere, students, teachers and non teaching staffs. It was a nice experience for me to work in this school. Teachers are very friendly and cooperative towards us. We,seven student teachers have a great experience from the school which will help us to shape our future teaching career. From my first week experience I understood that teaching is not a easy profession. It requires a lot of hard work and patience. We have given some responsibilities by headmistress and other teachers in the first week which make us feel a real teacher. It was wonderful by spending time with students and teach them feel blessed. From my teaching I understand that I need to improve very much for a successful career. This school made me feel my own school experiences in the past. Students are very lovable but quite naughty as well.Managing the class is the most difficult thing that I felt.It was very hard for me manage 40 students in my first week experience. They are very active in the classroom but not interested in studies. Only a few students are interested in studies. But that does not mean they are not intelligent. They are quite intelligent that I can understand from their doubts. Only appreciable thing about the school is its infrastructure. Every classroom is smart with well equipped teaching learning facilities. Hope my following days will be more happier.

MICRO TEACHING

As part of a Bachelor of Education (BEd) curriculum, I had to conduct classes focused on two skills: introducing a lesson and utilizing the blackboard effectively. Introducing a lesson involves capturing students' attention, stating clear objectives, connecting to prior knowledge, and outlining the lesson content to engage and prepare students for new learning experiences.                       Blackboard skills involve writing legibly, organizing content clearly, using space efficiently, and highlighting key points with different colors or underlining. Effective blackboard use aids visual learning, keeps students engaged, and enhances the overall teaching experience.        It was a wonderful experience taking classes, learning how to conduct them effectively, and gaining insight into my teaching methods. This experience helped me understand and correct my mistakes, enhancing my skills as an educator.
