TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 2

The second week of my teaching practice was very exciting and enjoyable. This was a great experience for me as a future teacher.I got to know about students and their stories and had the time to spent with them. My teaching experience was also memorable as more and more confidence is getting for me. I had covered the portion till onam exam which makes my mind satisfactory.Working in a school atmosphere is always special for me as it is my dream.I know my teaching skills and qualities are not perfect but I am sure that I can improve myself a lot. There are some small duties given to us and we had done it neatly. Teachers and non teachings staffs were very friendly and that makes me more confident in my duties. When I take a lesson during my class students are interested in hearing me that makes me more confident. As I know everyone are not listening but I can make them interested in coming days. My language sometimes feel different from others but I think it may be due to my communication in the past. So I need to improve this area and avoid unnecessary words and phrases.School atmosphere is quite pleasing but my one concern is about students. They don't know the importance of education and how education empowers them. But we can't blame these young children as the government is taking little action for job opportunities for those who have education.

MICRO TEACHING

As part of a Bachelor of Education (BEd) curriculum, I had to conduct classes focused on two skills: introducing a lesson and utilizing the blackboard effectively. Introducing a lesson involves capturing students' attention, stating clear objectives, connecting to prior knowledge, and outlining the lesson content to engage and prepare students for new learning experiences.                       Blackboard skills involve writing legibly, organizing content clearly, using space efficiently, and highlighting key points with different colors or underlining. Effective blackboard use aids visual learning, keeps students engaged, and enhances the overall teaching experience.        It was a wonderful experience taking classes, learning how to conduct them effectively, and gaining insight into my teaching methods. This experience helped me understand and correct my mistakes, enhancing my skills as an educator.
